In today's society, tourism is aiming to offer high level of tourism products on the basis of the various needs of local and international visitors. The Department of Tourism Management in Keimyung University, founded in 1985, has been cultivating global talent aiming at supplying of manpower with professional abilities that are in charge of pivotal roles to develop tourism industries producing high-value in all countries of the world. Also, it provides a job link service through specialized education, manpower cultivation by school-industry cooperation, and field-friendly training with academic values of professors who have both expertized knowledge meeting the demands of the times and abundant field experience.
In particular, we invest in education with internal stability placing emphasis on Tourism Management area, such as Hotel Management, Restaurant Management and Founding, Tourism Marketing, Leisure Studying, Tourism Development, Service Management, Convention and International Tourism, and Tourism English, to enable the students perform their abilities immediately to the field of tourism industry by having both academic knowledge and practical experience. Through such four-year educational course composed of academic and hands-on knowledge, and practice and school-industry cooperation programs, it is well conducted that both employment of practical field such as hotels, tourism companies and airline companies, and proceeding to public tourism companies or research · education area such as tourism organizations, tourism expert researchers and tourism public officers.
Further, The Department of Tourism Management proceeds toward globalization of Korean tourism. The foreign students in our Department are from various countries such as China, Myanmar, India and Vietnam, and more admission inquiries from varied countries are followed.
